“Pattern Design” features an abundance of patterns of all kinds and dimensions. They're all brand new, they're inspired and inspiring, they're original, decorative, funny, pretty, unusual, flashy or subdued, vintage or totally modern. We've collected new patterns in every conceivable form.
This time, the focus lies on patterns.
Wrap it up, unwrap it again. Every day we all have to deal with packaging in one form or another.
Therefore, we’ve collected the best works in the field of package & label design – realized or not – in 2D, 3D, as a photo or just as a sketch. How would you wrap it up?
The third volume of the series is dedicated to an entire continent: Asia. The selected designs originate from regions all over the continent, from Israel in the west to Japan in the far east. They represent an enormous diversity of styles, scripts, forms and visual languages. Recurring motivs are floral images and ornaments, while architecture – a dominating element in so many European designs – is almost absent. Nature, faces, script and myth play an important part in many works. It's a fascinating visual journey!
In this new series we're presenting contemporary graphic design from different parts of the world. The fourth and latest volume in the series is dedicated to Australia and New Zealand. Thanks to the region's proximity to eastern Asia, the predominantly western imagery which most of these designs are firmly rooted in, is enriched by Asian and exotic elements. This combination leads to some rather unexpected and unorthodox results. Thus, "Down Under" is a collection of designs which appear both familiar and strange at the same time.
For this new title we've asked designers from all over the world to contribute their latest works, regardless if these are sketches, prototypes or objects already in serial production. Therefore, “NEW PRODUCT DESIGN” is a kaleidoscope of current international design.
In this new series we present contemporary graphic design from different parts of the world.
Even though during the last decades globalization seems to have resulted in the different cultures and societies moving closer together, and although communication and cultural exchange have increased, many regional designs still retain distinctive characteristics.
Scandinavia
Many of the designs from Scandinavia display mainly cold and muted colours. The works exhibit just the kind of aloofness you would expect from northern temper. Compared to the Latin-American designs for instance, they seem rather restrained, but always with an appealing elegance and simplicity. The works display clear and controlled outlines and shapes. Innovation and imagination appear well organized. Most of the designs showcase the sometimes chilly accuracy of the Scandinavian style. This is just another proof that design and art are always influenced by the environment in which they are created.
These particularities have been captured in this compilation of exceptional works from such diverse categories as poster design, advertising, and illustrations.

Even though during the last decades globalization seems to have resulted in the different cultures and societies moving closer together, and although communication and cultural exchange have increased, many regional designs still retain distinctive characteristics.
Not surprisingly, the works from Latin America turn out to be pretty vivid and colourful. There seem to be no inhibitions or restraint – the dominant tones range from buoyant and humorous to downright aggressive and provocative.
Whatever the tone may be, the visual impression is always striking. Apparently, the so-called Latin American lifestyle and climate have left their mark on these designs. This is just another proof that design and art are always influenced by the environment in which they are created.

In the wide field of design, the designing of textiles is regarded as a special discipline. It requires a deeper understanding of the technical side of the production of textiles as well as a specific knowledge of each fabric, of its uses, its properties and characteristics (dyes, fibres and colourings). “New Textile Design” covers the many and various forms of the discipline. It includes clothing, caps, shoes, scarves, bags and appliqués, bedclothes, upholstery and lampshades. Even textile trinkets and other accessories are featured on the following pages.
The collected designs range from central motifs (on t-shirts, for instance) to patterns which often have to compete with the visible structures of the fabric. Additionally, the very form and manner of the presentation can become an interesting part of the work. Thus, we've included everything from sketches to elaborately staged photos.
Motives, patterns, textures - “New Textile Design” covers the whole range of soft goods.
Fashion is everywhere, it's short-lived, it's superficial, it's addictive. What could be a better field for a designer to let their creativity run riot? Especially since fashion design means so much more that „just“ clothing in the narrowest sense. Therefore, „Great New Fashion Design“ includes clothes, accessories, hats, ties, bags, jewelry, watches, hairstyles, shoes etc etc.
We've assembled a multitude of brand new works from all around the globe in the form of photos, drawings, sketches, computer graphics, collages, even manga-style illustrations. Thus, „Great New Fashion Design“ not only documents current aesthetic trends and styles, it is also an impressive compilation of techniques. It's both about WHAT you do and HOW you do it. The styles are just as diverse – ranging from nostalgic, retro sixties, retro seventies, retro eighties styles to contemporary urban and even futuristic.
There's a lot to discover on these pages. Browse and enjoy.
Sneakers are probably owned by at least one half of the world‘s population.
Moreover, sneakers have long become highly prized objects of
desire for average consumers and addicted collectors alike. All over
the world, teens and twenty-somethings in particular treat sneakers
like the proverbial status symbol, and stories of twenty-year-olds who
could easily outdo Imelda Marcos when it comes to shoe collections
abound. The „Sneaker Bible“ provides the perfect overview of the history
of the trainer, the multitude of forms and designs, and the most
recent innovations in the world of sneaker design.
The world is full of sings and symbols. Their language is universal, it has to be easily understood and unambiguous, intelligible in every region and culture. Still there is enough room for variations and innovation. „Signs, Symbols & Pictograms“ presents new designs for a great variety of purposes.
