Ever since the ascent of Hip Hop subculture in the nineties, „Urban“ has become a worldwide phenomenon, and today its influence can be felt in such diverse fields as clothing, typography, webdesign and of course the coprporate design of record companies, artists, rappers, singers, bands, tv-channels. „Urban Style“ crosses divides of nationality and cultureal background, race, and social standing.
Due time for a compilation of „Urban Styles“, and on these packed pages you'll find ample proof of why „Urban“ culture is today seen as the most vibrant, creative and innovative movement in the world.
Sneakers are probably owned by at least one half of the world‘s population.
Moreover, sneakers have long become highly prized objects of
desire for average consumers and addicted collectors alike. All over
the world, teens and twenty-somethings in particular treat sneakers
like the proverbial status symbol, and stories of twenty-year-olds who
could easily outdo Imelda Marcos when it comes to shoe collections
abound. The „Sneaker Bible“ provides the perfect overview of the history
of the trainer, the multitude of forms and designs, and the most
recent innovations in the world of sneaker design.
Konny Reimann: Moin, Moin Ihr Spacken.
This book documents a broad range of houses that have been built in the past ten years. The ca. 200 projects presented span all of the world's continents and hereby provide an extensive overview of the possibilities being explored in an ever tightly woven global community. This is an essential reference work for all those interested in one of mankind's most pressing themes.
NOW IN A SPECIALLY PRICED EDITION
In the wide field of design, the designing of textiles is regarded as a special discipline. It requires a deeper understanding of the technical side of the production of textiles as well as a specific knowledge of each fabric, of its uses, its properties and characteristics (dyes, fibres and colourings). “New Textile Design” covers the many and various forms of the discipline. It includes clothing, caps, shoes, scarves, bags and appliqués, bedclothes, upholstery and lampshades. Even textile trinkets and other accessories are featured on the following pages.
The collected designs range from central motifs (on t-shirts, for instance) to patterns which often have to compete with the visible structures of the fabric. Additionally, the very form and manner of the presentation can become an interesting part of the work. Thus, we've included everything from sketches to elaborately staged photos.
Motives, patterns, textures - “New Textile Design” covers the whole range of soft goods.
